LaXula at The Larmer Tree Festival 2008More Details

This particular drawing of LaXula perfectly captures the often dark edgy side of the music. With influences covering flamenco, Arabic, kletzmer, latin and rock their music has enormous depth and passion.

Lead vocalists Monte Palafox’s lyrics have the naked power of private love letters or desperately scribbled diary entries. She can be seen at the front of the stage in this smoky atmospheric tent at the Larmer Tree Festival in 2008.

She is accompanied by the full band with multi-instrumentalist and composer Assi Rose appearing on the right playing the Saxophone

Artist Olivia Keith said ‘I thought I’d totally ‘lost it’ with the drawing as it was so dark, but actually what emerged out of the darkness I think ‘works’ really well.
